A thank you note is a nice way to express your gratitude to family and friends who were there for you during an emotional time. Sending a thank you note after a funeral might be the last thing you are in the mood to do, but the it is an important part of acknowledging the kindness others have provided.
When it comes the card itself, you can either buy your own good quality paper and envelopes and get creative with your notes or go for the pre-made thank you notes. The notes don't need to be novels, a few lines written from the heart, about how appreciative you are is sufficient.
Some of the people who deserve a thank you note may have not have attended the funeral but still made an effort to show their sympathy. You should think about sending a note to those who sent flowers, pallbearers, those who made a donation to a charity in the name of the deceased, brought or sent food to your house, or helped with funeral arrangements.
