Hundreds of funeral mourners dressed up as Disney characters to celebrate the life of Disney fan Claire Whitehead.
The cartoon lover died from a cancerous brain tumor at the age of 22 without ever making it to Disneyland. Her friends and family decided since she never reached Disneyland, they would bring the Magic Kingdom to her. Guests arrived in a variety of colorful costumes, including Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and Peter Pan, then paraded through the streets as Whitehead's coffin was carried to the crematorium.
Whitehead's cousin Becky Taylor, who dressed as an Oompa Loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory said that Whitehead was nicknamed Cinderella by her family. Whitehead's mother dressed as the Corpse Bride from the Tim Burton classic while and her twin sister wore a pirate outfit.
The service was packed with with every Disney Character imaginable and following the service was a Wonderland-themed wake at a bar in Rochdale town center.
